About our church:

What time is worship and Sunday school? Do you have more than one service per week?

Worship and Sunday School are at 10:00 AM from September through June.  In July and August, Worship is at 9:00 AM.  There is normally only one service per week.

Is there child care for young children during worship?

Yes, we offer a staffed room for infants and toddlers.  There is also a preschool class for 3's and 4's.  Visit our Worship page.

 

How can I get on the mailing list or on the email distribution list?

You can either phone (508.429.8608) or email the church office (Mon.-Fri., 9AM - Noon) to speak with the Paula, or to leave a message.  Please be sure to leave your mailing address, email address etc. and you will be included on the weekly email and monthly newsletter lists.  For more information, visit our News and Events page.

 

Do you rent rooms for events?

Does the church have a day care center?

As a mission of the church, the Holliston Community Children's Center (non-religious) is located in the church Monday - Friday.  The director is Judy doCurral and the Children's Center office phone is 508.429.2708.  For more information, visit our Holliston Community Children's Center page.

 

When is the church fair?

The church fair is usually the third Saturday in October.  For more information, visit our Special Events page.

 

When is the community yard sale?

The community yard sale (yes, you may rent a space) is in early May.  For more information, visit our Special Events page.

 

When is the Clothes Closet open?

The Clothes Closet is open only on Wednesdays, from 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM.  They sell clean used clothing and small household items.  Please direct any questions to clothescloset@hollistonucc.org. For more information, visit our Clothes Closet page.

 

What does the rainbow flag mean?

The flag indicates that our church has an Open and Affirming policy.  For more information, visit our Open and Affirming page.

 

What is an open and affirming congregation?

About our music program:

How old does my child have to be to join the Choir?

We have three choirs for children and youth. Children in grades 1 and 2 can join our Kick Start Choir. Our older choirs are divided by grades (3 - 5  and 6 - 12). Contact our Choir Director for more information or visit our Choir page.

How old does my child have to be to join Handbells?

All children in grades 2 - 6 are welcome to ring!  We offer a choir for youth handchimers, grades 2 - 6, for children who prefer instruments to singing.  Contact our Handbell Choir Director for more information or visit our Handbells page.

 

About childrens' and youth programs:

Does the church have programs for youth?

Yes, we have Junior High Fellowship for youngsters in grades 6 - 8 and Senior High Fellowship for 9th - 12th graders.  Contact the Director of Youth Ministries for more information or visit our Youth Fellowship page.

 

About baptisms, weddings, and funerals:

Do we have to be members to get married at the church?

No, but you will need to contact the Wedding Director who will explain wedding policy and work with you throughout your wedding preparations.  For more information visit our Weddings page.


Do we have to be members to have our children baptized?

No, but it is recommended that you attend worship regularly and become established in the congregation before scheduling a baptism.  You will need to contact the Pastor for an appointment to discuss your family's baptism.  For more information visit our Baptism page.
